CTA is calling for a fully funded uplift to the Approved Mileage Allowance Payment (AMAP) rate so that organisations can support volunteers without added financial pressure.![]()

The AMAP rate helps ensure volunteers aren’t left out of pocket when using their own vehicles, but it has stayed the same since 2011 and is due an uplift.![]()

With increasing fuel and vehicle costs, there’s growing concern that the current rate no longer reflects reality. A new rate is likely to be announced by the Chancellor, Rachel Reeves MP, in her Autumn Budget and we are calling for a fair review. ![]()
